I hope Tiger Woods wins The Masters. Here's why......

Remember this commercial???

It seems simple enough to understand, right? Was that a warning shot to all of society that the glorification of athletes, actors, musicians might lead to bitter disappointment? To all of the people that were 7-15 years old when that old Nike commercial came out, what do you think of Charles Barkley now????

Remember this commercial????

Everyone wanted to be like Mike at one time. I'm sure that Gatorade was implying to be like Michael Jordan on the basketball court. I don't think they were implying his gambling and other things in his personal life.

Now, we have this commercial......

I'm trying to understand why this is a big deal and why it's so wrong???? This may be an unpopular stance on my part, but let's think this through logically. Do you think that Tiger would bend over for Nike in the explotation of his deceased father? I wouldn't think so. Did Tiger use his dad for a damage control commercial?? Maybe so. However, the only thing that Nike and Tiger Woods could be guilty of is poor timing for the fact it aired right before The Masters.

To all of the people who find this just repugnant, what is like to be free of impurity? How does it feel to be the moral compass for all of society to follow? I once tried to be the moral compass and then one day realized 1) I'm nowhere close to it and 2) Common Sense seems to be a better gauge than reality in certain cases. In this case, common sense should be applied.

To all of the people who still crucify Tiger Woods for his deceit and other indescretions, I hope he wins The Masters. I hope that he destroys the competition only for the pure pleasure of watching these people wave their arms in disgust because an immoral bastard like Tiger Woods won a golf tournament.

You can make a plausible argument of fraud when it comes to the Tiger Woods brand. There is only one flaw, and his name is Eldrick Woods. There may have been people on the inside that tried to protect Tiger Woods. The only thing they failed to do was protect Eldrick Woods in the process.

I've grown tired of talking about Tiger Woods and his set of irons, I mean mistresses, that camped out in his golf bag. Before you play the hypocrisy card with that last joke; Haven't we all made fun of Bill Clinton, John Edwards, Elliot Spitzer for their appetite for females???? Yes we did. We're they justified??? Not really, but it happened.

Am I saying that Tiger is innocent or a victim? No. Charles Barkley said nearly two decades ago that athletes don't raise your kids. Has anything changed???? Are athletes suppose to act like choir boys for the sake of the children?? Maybe so, but the sad reality is they're not. I'm pulling for Tiger to win in Augusta because I'm not playing moral police. I just want to watch all of the puppets dangle frantically as they get caught in their own strings. I want to see the best golfer in the world show why he's the best golfer in the world. Not to see a crowned messiah of the sports media be stoned to death because of his infidelity. If such dissection and character mutilation like this is happening to Tiger Woods, I couldn't imagine the Apocalypse that would happen when Tim Tebow finally makes a mistake. God Help us all!
