For The Love of God can we just let college sports be?!?!?!?!

There are two issues in sports that seem to spark an enraged passion. That's a playoff in college football and expanding the NCAA Tournament bracket in basketball.

The more I read of Orrin Hatch and those other tards in Washington wanting to investigate the BCS in violation of anti-trust laws, the more I become a fan of the BCS. Can somebody tell me where they have a case? The only violation I would see them guilty of is screwing the pooch in 2001 and getting Nebraska set up for a massacre against a loaded Miami Hurricanes team. Other than that, how have they screwed America? They're making money and getting the two best teams in college football playing for a national championship? Is that it? If you look through the history of the BCS, they've only had 2 slip ups. Those being in 2001 and arguably 2003 when Oklahoma played for the BCS title despite getting rocked by Kansas St. in the Big XII title game. Other than that, when did they get it wrong?

All of this started to escalate when U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and U.S. Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) were pitching a fit because their teams were "screwed" out of the chance to play Florida for the BCS title game. Where were these two self-absorbed bastards in 2001 when Oregon was denied? Where were these two clowns in 2003 when USC was denied playing LSU for the championship?

You can argue Auburn in 2004, however that can be argued both ways. USC could have possibly embarrassed Auburn had it come to play. That USC team was loaded. I really won't count that one. But for argument sake, where were these two Robin Hoods when Auburn was left out in 2004?

The playoff argument in college football has been alive a long time and shows no signs of dying. Besides, even with a playoff, someone is going to be left out.

The only way a playoff will ever happen in college football is if there is a nationwide boycott of the sport. Let's face it, that's not going to happen.

My point being, America will not go into another Great Depression if a playoff in college football never happens.

While on my soapbox, let's give the crying little children known as the mid-majors in college hoops their entitlement by expanding the tournament so they don't go crying to President Obama to award every college basketball team a championship because they're giving it the "ole college try".

The tournament is fine the way it is. Leave it alone. Some people think the little guy should get more opportunities. Tell that to Gonzaga, a program that clawed and pounded their way to respect in Div. I hoops. Let's save the help the poor to the folks in Haiti who really need it, not a basketball program that doesn't want to take their beatings from the Duke, Kansas, and North Carolina's off the world. There are 300+ teams in Div. I basketball, and every one of them has 30 games and a conference tournament to get in the dance. If they can't do it in that time frame, then they don't need to be in the argument to begin with. WIN OR SHUT THE HELL UP!!!
